KATHMANDU: Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel recently won four awards at the 2026 Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Awards.

The Thamel property received the honours, including 'Best City Hotel in Nepal', 'Best Conference Venue Hotel in Nepal', 'Best Culinary Experience in Nepal', and 'Best General Manager in Nepal', awarded to Vikram Singh.

The Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Awards recognise hotels for outstanding guest experiences, service, innovation and memorable stays. The awards are regarded as among the hospitality sector’s international accolades.

Aloft Kathmandu said the 'Best City Hotel in Nepal' award reflects its contemporary hospitality offerings in central Kathmandu, including vibrant design and accommodations for both business and leisure travellers. The 'Best Conference Venue Hotel in Nepal' accolade highlights the hotel’s meeting and event facilities, which include modern technology, flexible spaces and a dedicated events team. The 'Best Culinary Experience in Nepal' award recognises the property’s food and beverage programme, citing a mix of international dishes, local flavours and handcrafted beverages across its restaurants and bars.

Commenting on the wins, General Manager Vikram Singh said, "We are incredibly honoured to receive these prestigious recognitions from the Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Awards. These awards belong to every member of our team whose passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence make exceptional guest experiences possible every day. We sincerely thank our guests for their trust and support, which inspires us to continuously raise the bar. These achievements motivate us to keep innovating and delivering hospitality that is truly different by design."

Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel is Marriott International’s first Aloft-branded hotel in Nepal. Located in Thamel, the hotel has 167 loft-inspired guestrooms, multiple dining venues, meeting and event spaces, a rooftop venue and wellness facilities. The property said the awards strengthen its reputation as a preferred destination for business and leisure travellers in Nepal.
