CG Meridia launches front-load washer-dryer to tackle monsoon laundry problems
KATHMANDU: CG Meridia, the premium Signature Series brand under CG, has launched a new front-load washer-dryer (model CGMWD107DD) in Nepal to help households cope with monsoon laundry problems. The company said the appliance addresses difficulties caused by continuous rainfall and overcast weather, including slow drying, persistent damp odours and increased bacterial growth.
The washer-dryer combines a 10 kg washing capacity with a 7 kg drying capacity in a single unit. It runs on a Direct Drive motor that operates without belts or pulleys, which reduces noise and vibration while lowering electricity consumption. CG is offering a 10-year warranty on the motor.
The model features a Smart Drying System that fully dries garments inside the machine so users can wear or store clothes immediately regardless of outdoor weather. To maintain hygiene in humid conditions, the appliance includes Ag+ sterilisation, UV light sterilisation and an anti-bacterial gasket on the door to inhibit fungal and bacterial growth.
For automated operation, the machine offers an Auto Dose function that measures garment weight and dirt levels to dispense detergent automatically. It also integrates Super Spa and Jet Spray technology for stain removal, and an Intelligent Washing System that adjusts water volume and cycle times according to fabric type while detecting and removing excess foam.
