inDrive Nepal completes 1st phase of 'InDrive Driving Nari ' initiative

KATHMANDU: inDrive Nepal has completed the first phase of its 'inDrive Driving Nari' initiative, with 10 women graduating from a three‑month driver training programme.

Launched in April 2026, the initiative aims to remove barriers for women, particularly those from underserved communities, by widening access to work in the mobility sector.

Under the initiative, participants received practical motorcycle riding training, road‑safety instruction and self‑defence workshops. The company also assisted trainees in obtaining driving licences and provided safety kits.

At a programme in Kathmandu on Monday, inDrive Nepal awarded each graduate a certificate. One participant won an electric scooter in a lucky draw, three received smartphones, and six others were given smartwatches to support their move towards financial independence.

inDrive said the initiative will continue to expand opportunities for women in the transport and delivery industries.
