KATHMANDU: Ather Nepal, operating under Vaidya Energy, recorded more than 500 scooter bookings at the six-day NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The result reflects strong consumer interest in electric mobility and long-term ownership assurance.
The company said it reached the milestone without relying on promotional schemes, instead focusing on core electric vehicle fundamentals such as battery assurance, service accessibility, charging infrastructure and practical technology.
A central factor in the customer response was Ather’s battery assurance programme. Under its Eight70 Warranty, the firm offers battery coverage for up to eight years or 80,000 kilometres, guaranteeing at least 70% battery health subject to applicable terms and conditions. The warranty aims to allay consumer concerns about long-term battery performance and reliability.

Supporting the warranty is an expanding nationwide infrastructure that currently includes more than 10 authorised service centres and a network of over 50 fast-charging grid points across Nepal.
The expo also showcased the newly introduced Ather 450 Overtone Series, which attracted significant interest from visitors. Demonstrations at the event highlighted features such as ‘Magic Twist’ for regenerative braking control through throttle adjustment, ‘Infinite Cruise’ for smoother cruising, and ‘Voice on Ather’ for voice-based controls and connected vehicle interaction. Ather also displayed its wider product range, including the latest 450 Series and the Rizta family, offering options across performance, comfort and everyday urban transport.
Commenting on the bookings, Ather Nepal said, “The response at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo has reinforced our belief that customers are looking beyond short-term offers. They want confidence in the product, confidence in the battery, confidence in service and charging, and technology that genuinely improves their riding experience. The 500+ bookings are a reflection of that trust.”
As it expands its market presence, Ather Nepal plans to continue strengthening its service network, charging grid and battery assurance measures to support riders transitioning to electric vehicles across the country.
