KATHMANDU: Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) has contributed Rs 10.1 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support the government’s relief, rescue and rehabilitation operations.
The cheque was handed to Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle on Monday by Uttar Kumar Khatri, acting chairman of the CIT board of directors, alongside executive director Parbat Kumar Karki.
The financial assistance comes in response to severe human and physical losses caused by devastating flooding and other natural disasters along Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa.
CIT Board Member Narayan Prasad Ghimire and director Shova Shrestha were also present at the handover ceremony.
