Nepal Tech Roadshow UK 2026 concludes; Nepali technology firms showcase global capabilities

LONDON: Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) has concluded the Nepal Tech Roadshow UK 2026, an event connecting the Nepali technology ecosystem with British business, investment and technology communities. Held on September 9 in London Heathrow, the gathering highlighted Nepal’s growing technology capabilities, skilled workforce and potential for international market expansion.

Reflecting on the event's outcome, NAS-IT stated: 'The roadshow demonstrated that Nepal is not only a market for technology services and solutions but also can develop technology, deliver services and provide skilled talent to international markets.'

Bibhusan Bista, Vice President of NAS-IT, presented an overview of Nepal’s information and communications technology ecosystem, focusing on the country’s talent pool and capacity to supply international markets with advanced solutions. Throughout the event, participants showcased diverse capabilities, including cybersecurity, IT services and business process outsourcing, custom web and application development, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, product development and artificial intelligence.

The event also gathered key perspectives on trade, investment and commercial cooperation between Nepal and the UK. Bipin Duwadi, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the Embassy of Nepal in London; Anup Shrestha, Head of Trade and Investment at the British Embassy Kathmandu; and Biraj Bhatta, Chairman of the Britain Nepal Chamber of Commerce, shared views on strengthening digital and commercial collaboration.

Several Nepali technology leaders detailed their international experience and sector-specific expertise. Nirdesh Dwa, Co-founder of inGrails, spoke on scalable solutions and product capabilities, while Dr Vaghwan Ojha, Head of the AI Department at EKbana, discussed artificial intelligence, data and enterprise software engineering. Anjani Phuyal, CEO of Genese Solution, and Suraj Gyawali, CTO of Simplified Solution, highlighted international expansion across cloud computing, fintech, payments, cloud modernisation and cybersecurity.

Ratish Basnyat, Team Lead at Nepal in Business – Growth Advisors, addressed private-sector development, policy reform and opportunities for international market access. Narayan Koirala, Executive Member of NAS-IT, delivered the closing remarks and a vote of thanks.

Supported by Nepal in Business and implemented by DAI Global UK, the roadshow featured 17 participating technology companies: Aakash Tech, AITC International, Code Pixelz Media, CodingMountain, Dots and Dashes Technology Services, EKbana Solutions, Eminence Ways, FOCUS, Genese Solution, inGrails, Jasper IT, Mantra Ideas, Proshore Nepal, TechKraft, Tekkon Technologies, Web Experts Nepal and Young Innovations.
