FM Khanal Visits Nepali Consulate General in New York

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal visited the Nepali Consulate General in New York, USA, today while attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Minister Khanal's Secretariat, he received a briefing on the consulate’s activities, services, and matters concerning the local Nepali community.

At a briefing hosted by Consul General Dadhiram Bhandari, the foreign minister was briefed on the role of Nepali missions abroad in protecting national interests, providing consular services to Nepali citizens, and strengthening Nepal’s economic, social, and cultural ties.

Consulate officials also updated the minister on ongoing activities, future plans, and efforts to enhance service delivery.

On the occasion, Minister Khanal called for continued coordination and cooperation among relevant agencies to ensure prompt and effective services to Nepali citizens and to further advance Nepal’s interests abroad.
