KATHMANDU: The global mobility and delivery platform inDrive has launched a festive campaign, 'Sunko Sawari', for its passengers in Nepal, offering users the chance to win gold coins, smart televisions and smartwatches. The six-week initiative, designed to coincide with the Dashain and Tihar festivals, is scheduled from October 1 to November 11, 2026.
Over the course of six weeks, the platform will distribute a total of six gold coins, six televisions and 12 smartwatches. Passengers automatically qualify for weekly lucky draws based on their ride frequency. Those who complete five or more journeys in a week will be entered into a draw for a five-gram gold coin. Users taking three or more rides will qualify for a 32-inch Samsung smart television draw, while completing at least one journey offers the chance to win a smartwatch.
Shreya Manandhar, marketing manager of inDrive Nepal, stated, "Dashain and Tihar are a time when people are travelling more, whether it is for shopping, visiting family or celebrating together. Through 'Sunko Sawari', we wanted to make those everyday festive journeys even more exciting. Passengers can simply continue taking their regular inDrive rides and, depending on the number of rides they complete, get a chance to win festive rewards."
With the festive season bringing an increase in travel for shopping, family gatherings and tika visits, the campaign introduces an element of luck to everyday journeys. The concept draws inspiration from local traditions associated with luck and prosperity, such as the games of chance played during Dashain and the culturally significant purchase of gold during Tihar.
The company plans to announce winners through its social media channels, supported by digital promotions and influencer-led content, with selected influencers assisting in delivery of prizes to capture the celebrations.
