Nepal Women Chamber to run 'Chamber Bazar' in Jamal from Saturday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Women Chamber is set to operate 'Chamber Bazar' at Chamber Bhawan, Jamal, starting from Saturday, October 3. The objective of the initiative is to market, promote, and expand the trade of products by women entrepreneurs and businesswomen.

This fair is being brought into operation in collaboration and cooperation with Nepal Youth Chamber. Nepal Women Chamber stated that the main goal is to provide women entrepreneurs with the opportunity to expand the market for their products, as well as to inspire and empower every woman towards business.

Foodstuffs, alongside clothing, handicraft materials, and other goods, will be placed for sale in the market. At the Chamber Bazar, import and export goods will also be promoted and marketed, and the fair will feature stalls, including those of Salt Trading Corporation.

Nepal Women Chamber Chairperson Urmila Shrestha stated that the market will run on Saturday and Sunday to target the festivals, and the fair will continue to operate on Saturdays even after the festivities. She also informed that programmes such as orientation on government procedures and business operations, skills and vocational training, women's health awareness, and free health check-ups will be conducted to attract women currently engaged in enterprise and those wishing to do so into business.

Nepal Women Chamber Secretary Era Prasai mentioned that the Chamber Bazar will be taken forward not merely as a trade fair, but as a continuous campaign for women's economic empowerment, skill development, market access, and the enhancement of professional capacity.
