BUTWAL: Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS Motor Company in Nepal, will host the opening qualifier of the year-long Apache Racing Experience (ARE) GP in Butwal on Saturday, October 3.

Riders competing in the 160 cc and 200 cc categories will vie for top-three finishes to advance to the national grand finale in Kathmandu, where they will race for a fully funded opportunity to represent Nepal at the Madras International Circuit in India against competitors from more than 50 countries.

The inaugural qualifier will take place at the Shree Gouranga Easyway Trial Center in Manigram, Tilottama Municipality-5. This makes Butwal the first host city before the competition moves to Kathmandu, Nepalgunj, Itahari, and Pokhara.

Bishal Jaiswal, proprietor of Balaji Automobiles, the official TVS dealer for the Butwal region, stated that the qualifier provides a vital professional platform for local talent. "It is a matter of pride for the riders here that the first qualifier of the ARE GP is commencing from Butwal," he said. "There is no shortage of talented riders in the Lumbini region, but they need a platform to learn and compete in a safe and professional environment. This programme will pave the way for the youth of Butwal to reach the international circuit from a local track."

Activities for participants will begin at 8.00 am with theoretical sessions on riding posture, cornering, leaning, braking, and vision control. This will be followed by intensive track drills supervised by professional instructors. The venue will then open to media personnel, guests, and content creators from 11.00 am.

At the grand finale, to be held at the Vehicle Academy and Research Centre in Satungal, Kathmandu, qualifiers will undergo further track training before the final races. Alongside the international racing opportunity, the ultimate winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to MotoGP and MotoSoul. Successful participants at the Indian event will also receive opportunities to compete in further international races, with TVS covering all travel and accommodation expenses.

TVS Motor Company has maintained a continuous presence in motorsport since 1982, winning the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship 11 times. The current initiative aims to connect this racing heritage with track experiences for Nepali riders.

Interested participants can register by visiting the official TVS Nepal Facebook page or Instagram account and scanning the available QR code. Kathmandu Coffee is serving as the official coffee partner for the event.
