KATHMANDU: Students and parents showed significant interest in careers and innovation at the 'Prabidhi Mela' organised by the CSIT Association of Nepal (CSITAN). The two-day fair, which commenced on Saturday at the Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) in Maitidevi, Kathmandu, saw the participation of students, youth, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, and employers.

During the fair, participants engaged in discussions regarding career guidance, presentations of innovative ideas, interactions with mentors, technical creations, and networking. Additionally, five competitions were held at the event: Creative Clash, Build Battle, Capture the Flag (CTF), Clash Royale, and eFootball.

CSITAN President Pratikshya Ale Magar stated that the fair was organised to help students gain proficiency in technology alongside their formal education. Magar noted that the event focused on promoting employment and entrepreneurship development for students within the country. According to the organisers, the fair aimed to bring technology, the future of students, and innovation under one roof.

LBEF Chairman Er Pankaj Jalan mentioned that the event was designed to enhance collaboration among students, IT entrepreneurs, parents, and the community. He added that the goal was to connect skills with opportunities and prepare a competent workforce for the digital future of Nepal. Jalan highlighted that the programme was organised to make the country more technology-friendly and to ensure students are employable domestically.

Furthermore, Jalan emphasised that the time has come to achieve economic progress by exporting the technology of Nepal, making a skilled workforce aligned with this requirement an urgent necessity. He added that IT education that matches market demand is currently the need of the hour.

The event successfully provided a platform to highlight the creativity, technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and teamwork of the participants.
