KATHMANDU: Policy Research Institute (PRI) has discussed concept papers for 20 research projects to be undertaken in the current fiscal year during a two-day workshop in Kathmandu.
Recommendations and inputs from key stakeholders were gathered following presentations of the concept papers by PRI researchers.
The workshop was attended by PRI researchers alongside representatives from the Government of Nepal, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the National Planning Commission, and relevant ministries and agencies.
Following presentations by PRI researchers, representatives from participating ministries, heads of PRI research departments, and thematic experts provided suggestions to refine the proposals and increase their effectiveness.
According to the PRI, the primary goal of the workshop was to align the research projects with government needs, existing policies, practices and priorities, while securing stakeholder support to ensure findings are applied directly within the policy-making process.
