KATHMANDU: Shangrila Motors, the authorised distributor of Leapmotor in Nepal, has started customer deliveries of the new Leapmotor B03X. The deliveries follow strong demand and early bookings for the electric SUV.

The first group of customers has received their vehicles, bringing the B03X onto Nepali roads. The company said the milestone comes after successful road tests in Kathmandu and the vehicle’s official launch.

“From the start, the response to the B03X has been incredible. Today, we are glad to move from bookings to deliveries. Handing over these keys is about giving our customers a smart, high-quality electric driving experience. We thank our buyers for their trust, and our team is focused on ensuring fast, smooth deliveries for everyone waiting,” said Hemant Golchha, Director of Shangrila Motors.

According to the company, the B03X is equipped with a 145 kW motor, a 53-kWh battery, 190 mm ground clearance and a driving range of up to 505 km under the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). It also supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in 16 minutes.

The electric SUV features a 14.6-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker audio system, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a 510-litre luggage compartment that expands to 1,605 litres with the rear seats folded down.

Leapmotor is backed globally by Stellantis, the automotive group behind brands including Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Peugeot. The company said Leapmotor has sold more than 1.9 million vehicles globally and recorded monthly sales of more than 100,000 vehicles for four consecutive months from July to October.

The brand has a network of more than 2,000 sales and service points across more than 45 countries.
