KATHMANDU: Ujyalo Foundation has held its 12th annual general meeting (AGM) in Kathmandu to review the organisation’s activities and discuss priorities for the coming year.

The meeting brought together founding members, board members, collaborators and allies, according to the Foundation.

The Foundation said the meeting reviewed efforts to support feminist leadership, promote gender equality and social inclusion, empower young changemakers and back community-led initiatives. Participants also discussed the Foundation’s role in policy engagement, institutional development and efforts to advance an inclusive and intersectional feminist movement in Nepal.

The organisation said its work over the past year included programmes aimed at amplifying marginalised voices, creating platforms for dialogue and solidarity, and strengthening cooperation among feminist networks at national and regional levels.

Ujyalo Foundation, founded and led by Executive Director Amuda Mishra, said it seeks to create opportunities for diverse voices to participate in decision-making and address systemic inequalities.

The AGM also discussed the importance of collective leadership, partnerships and long-term structural change. Participants noted that progress depends on solidarity, shared responsibility and sustained collective action.
