Prez Paudel stresses rule of law, zero tolerance for corruption

KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel has said that the proper use of public resources, zero tolerance for corruption, adherence to the rule of law and ethical conduct are essential for ensuring good governance.

Addressing the inauguration of the newly constructed administrative building of Dakshinkali Municipality on Wednesday, President Paudel urged public representatives and civil servants to regard public office as a responsibility and an opportunity to serve citizens rather than a personal privilege.

He expressed confidence that the new building would contribute to faster, more transparent, accountable and citizen-friendly public service delivery.

The President also stressed the need to modernise administrative practices through information technology, digital services and effective grievance-handling mechanisms.
