
KATHMANDU: EV Nepal Motors under Bajra group, the authorised distributor of Wuling Air EV in the Nepali market, has collaborated with Prabu Bank to provide financial facilities to customers who want to buy electric vehicles (EVs).
The agreement in this regard has been signed by Assistant General Manager (AGM) of EV Nepal Motors, Nawaraj Koirala and Chief Business Officer at Prabhu Bank, Renu Prasad Pandey, signed an agreement in this regard.
As per the agreement, Prabu Bank will provide a loan of up to 80% of the value of the vehicle to customers who want to buy Wuling Air EV.
Wuling Air EV is available in two variants with 200km and 300km range available at Rs 2.09 million and Rs 3.09 million respectively.
Wuling electric vehicles are manufactured in Indonesia in a joint venture with SAIC and General Motors. Wuling Air EV is an electric car that is popular in the world including Indonesia.
The EV is built on the Global Smart Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform. Hongguang Mini EV and Baojun Kiwi EV are other models built on the same platform.
Wuling Air EV, the four-seater and three-door hatchback has a capacity of 30 kW and is suitable for city driving. However, it can be driven on difficult uphill and downhill roads. The Lithium Iron Phosphate battery gives a range of up to 300 km.
According to the company, Wuling Air EV can be easily charged at home and driven for 300km at a cost of Rs 100. The vehicle does not require servicing and also saves the cost of spare parts.
NK Sharad of EV Nepal Motors said the company is preparing to launch Wuling BINGO, another new EV model with four doors in the Nepali market.
Customers who purchase this Wuling Air EV have the facility to be provided across Nepal.
Wuling Air EV is available at official showrooms in Naxal (Kathmandu), Bhaisepati (Lalitpur) and Bhaktapur. Wuling Air EVs can be easily charged at more than 51 Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) charging stations across the country.
