
KATHMANDU: The price of petrol has increased by Rs 4 per litre, and diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 235 per cylinder, according to Nepal Oil Corporation.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the NOC stated that the price of petroleum products has increased in Nepal due to the increase in prices from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) that supplies fuel to Nepal.
According to the latest price list received from IOC, the price of petrol and diesel have been increased by Rs 3.17 and Rs 2.48 per litre respectively and the price of LPG has increased by Rs 186.45 per cylinder.
With the increase in price, petrol now costs Rs 179.50 in first category locations, Rs 181 and Rs 182 in second and third categories. Likewise, diesel and kerosene cost Rs 167.50, Rs 169 and Rs 170 in the first, second and third categories locations.
