
KATHMANDU: Everest Bank, as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), has extended support to Manavsewa Ashram.
Everest Bank has been conducting various CSR programmes for the benefit of people especially, from the section of society, deprived of education, health other needs. The programmes aim to address natural calamities management, environment preservation, cultural promotion, basic infrastructure improvement in rural areas, income-earning capability enhancement of socially backward communities, financial literacy, and customer protection programmes.
In this regard, amid a function, Everest Bank Chief Executive Officer Sudesh Khaling handed over a cheque of Rs 500,000 to Muna Lama, Gandaki Province Coordinator of Manavsewa Ashram.
During the event, Khaling stated that vulnerable, impoverished, disabled, homeless, physically weak or mentally or psychologically challenged people who are forced to live miserable lives in the open sky street sides and public places will benefit from this support of the bank. He said that the bank will continue to help and collaborate with organisations working in the field of humanity with heart-touching and selfless feelings.
During the event Lama stated that all people associated with the ashram would benefit from this support and granted a note of thanks to EBL.
Puspa Raj Uprety, Head Marketing and Institutional Deposit at EBL; Sudhir Gautam, Provincial Manager Gandaki Province EBL; Sandeep Khatry, Branch Manager Gorkha Branch EBL; and Ishwor Kaji Maskey, Coordinator of the Ashram; were also present in the event.
