Landslide disrupts traffic along Narayangadh-Muglin road section

MUGLIN: Vehicular movement has come to a halt along Narayangadh-Muglin road section following a landslide in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5 of Chitwan district. Two-way traffic has come to a halt after a landslide occurred at Bridge No. 3 last night.

According to the Muglin Area Police Office, preparations are being made to clear landslide debris and resume traffic. Police Inspector at the APO, Bishal Tamang, said power cables have also snapped along with landslip and hence the clearing of the landslide debris will start after the cable lines are managed. The road section has been repeatedly obstructed due to landslides at the same place since last Thursday. On average 10,000 vehicles pass through this road daily and frequent road closures are causing huge distress to the travellers using the road. By RSS
