Labour Minister Bhandari pledges to assure workers' rights
KATHMANDU: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, said the government is committed to ensuring the rights of workers in both domestic and foreign employment.
In his message of best wishes on International Workers' Day today, he called on all workers and employers to unite in protecting labour rights, promoting social justice, and advancing inclusive prosperity.
Stating that workers have an invaluable role in the country's long-term prosperity and social progress, Minister Bhandari said reforms in labour-related laws and policies, including the Labour Act and Foreign Employment Act, have been initiated.
