KATHMANDU: Ambassador of India to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

During the meeting, Ambassador Srivastava briefed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on the recent tensions between India and Pakistan following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India, on April 22.

The Indian Ambassador clarified that India had carried out only a retaliatory attack, refuting claims that it had conducted a "jet attack."

He expressed gratitude for the statement issued by the Government of Nepal on Thursday regarding the incident, according to Prime Minister Oli’s Secretariat.

Reaffirming Nepal’s commitment to world peace, Prime Minister Oli condemned the terrorist attack, citing Nepal’s principled stance against all forms of terrorism. He also stressed that Nepal would not allow its territory to be used against its neighbouring countries.
