KATHMANDU: Ncell has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting digital inclusion by signing the GSMA’s Principles for Driving the Digital Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.
The Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) is a non-profit trade organisation representing mobile network operators worldwide. Its principles serve as a global framework to guide operators in advancing digital inclusion and reducing the mobile disability gap.
By collaborating with GSMA, Ncell aims to ensure equitable access to mobile technology and digital services for all individuals, regardless of their ability. Ncell is the first Nepali mobile operator to adopt these principles.
This milestone builds on Ncell’s existing initiatives, which include a 50% data discount under the Sadhain ON plan for people with disabilities, accessible customer care centres, disability-friendly office infrastructure and partnerships to support Nepal’s para-athletes.
As a leading GSM mobile operator, Ncell continues to prioritise inclusion, sustainability and purpose-driven innovation. Going forward, it plans to further enhance service accessibility, promote inclusive customer experiences and collaborate with communities to drive positive change.
As a signatory, Ncell pledges to integrate accessibility into its organisational strategy, design inclusive products and services, and actively engage with the disability community to address their needs.

“At Ncell, we are not just enabling connectivity—we are empowering lives. By committing to the GSMA’s Principles for Driving the Digital Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, we are taking a step forward in ensuring that no one is left behind in Nepal’s digital future. Together, we aim to create an inclusive and empowered society to thrive in the digital world,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Director of Ncell Foundation and Special Projects.
With this move, Ncell joins a growing number of global telecom companies working towards mobile technology accessibility, ensuring that persons with disabilities are not just connected but empowered.
