Govt presents annual budget for FY 2025/26 in Federal Parliament

KATHMANDU: The annual estimates of revenue and expenditure (budget) for the upcoming fiscal year 2025/26 have been presented in the Federal Parliament.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is currently presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year at a joint sitting of the Federal Parliament, which commenced at the Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwor.

A legal provision requires that the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the next fiscal year be presented in Parliament on Jestha 15 each year.

Cabinet meeting endorses budget for FY 2025/26  

Earlier, a meeting of the Council of Ministers endorsed the Annual Estimates of Income and Expenditure (Budget) for the fiscal year 2025/26.

The cabinet meeting, held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar, approved the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, according to the Secretariat of Deputy Prime Minister Paudel.
