KATHMANDU: NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 opened today at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Organised by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the event drew industry insiders, mobility enthusiasts and the general public.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel served as chief guest for the inauguration ceremony, where he lit the traditional lamp.

Addressing the ceremony, Minister Paudel commended the stability brought by the new fiscal policy for 2025/26 and assured attendees that necessary amendments can be accommodated. Finance Minister  Paudel also expressed admiration for the scale of the expo and vowed to oversee improvements to the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Ground in the years ahead.

On the occasion, NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya urged swift upgrades to infrastructure, promising that the private sector will drive prosperity to remote parts of Nepal through enhanced mobility. “Members of NAIMA are driven to bring automobiles, manufacturing, workshops and a skilled workforce to Nepal,” she said.

Billed as the country’s largest automobile gathering, the expo aims to make Nepal’s mobility smarter, cleaner and more connected. About 50 prominent brands will launch 35 new products—including 15 two-wheelers, 15 four-wheelers and five commercial vehicles—while offering unprecedented deals to visitors. Tickets are available via Khalti by IME from 3:00 pm daily.

In the five-day event, each day features a free learning session led by seasoned industry professionals. On opening day, public speaker Anil Keshary Shah moderated a panel titled “Mobility: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,” with insights from Suraj Vaidya, President of Vaidya's Organization of Industries and Trading Houses (VOITH), the parent company of United Traders Syndicate (UTS); actor Hari Bansha Acharya; Yamuna Shrestha, Managing Director of BYD; and Guru Prasad Paudel, Executive Director at Nepal Rastra Bank’s regulation department.

Key partners include Khalti by IME for ticketing, Pathao for rides (offering up to 30% discounts), HIK Vision for surveillance, WorldLink for connectivity, Soaltee Hotel for hospitality, Frontline Hospital for medical coverage, Ncell for telecom, Mountain Dew and Himalayan Java for beverages, and Media Space Solution for event management. Visitors can also access on-site financing through Everest Bank.

NAIMA has launched an online competition awarding Rs 100,000 to the best expo video by August 6 and Rs 10,000 each to the next ten top submissions received between August 6 and 10. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training, NAIMA will donate 5% of ticket sales to fund scholarships and research fellowships in the mobility sector.

With immersive displays, expert panels, learning sessions and exclusive deals, the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 invites everyone to explore the future of mobility and compare their options conveniently under one roof.
