Nebula Energy launches Nepal’s first buyback guarantee for Gogoro scooters

KATHMANDU: Nebula Energy, the authorised partner for Gogoro scooters in Nepal, has launched the country’s first Buyback Guarantee for electric two-wheelers, setting a new benchmark in customer assurance and underlining its long-term commitment to the Nepali market.

The programme, which came into effect on August 4, 2025, guarantees a minimum resale value of Rs 100,000 within five years or 40,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. It makes Gogoro the first electric two-wheeler brand in Nepal to offer such assurance, bolstering consumer confidence in the shift to smart, sustainable mobility.

Electric vehicle owners often worry about battery degradation and its impact on resale value. Gogoro addresses this by retaining ownership of its batteries and operating an industry-leading swapping network, whereby riders exchange depleted cells for fully charged ones at any of the city-wide stations. This ensures consistent performance and enables Nebula Energy to honour its buyback promise.

We began operations only after building a network of 45 battery-swapping stations. Today, we are taking that commitment even further.”

At the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, which opened at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Gogoro also unveiled its Dashain Festive Scheme, offering attractive incentives for customers who join the swap ecosystem over the five-day event. Visitors can view live demonstrations of Gogoro’s fast, seamless battery-swapping technology and witness the newly upgraded Gogoro JEGO, the model’s first public appearance since its recent enhancements.
