
KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 21.30 points to settle at 2,761.26 today, an increase of 0.77%.
A total of 10,877,942 shares of 317 companies changed hands in 57,157 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs 5,753,219,652.78.
Manufacturing and Processing Group fell by 0.05% and the Mutual Fund Group by 0.34%, while all other sector sub-indices advanced. The Banking Group gained 0.58%, Development Banks 0.95%, Finance 0.20%, Hotels and Tourism 0.45%, Hydro Power 0.32%, Investment 0.34% and the Life Insurance Group 0.56%. Microfinance climbed 1.50%, Non-Life Insurance 0.31%, Tradings 0.05% and Other Groups 2.79%.
Narayani Development Bank (NABBC)’s share price hit the positive circuit today, while RBB Mutual Fund 1 (RMF1) recorded the largest decline, down 3.87%.
In turnover terms, Nepal Reinsurance Company (NRIC) led with Rs 769,677,951.80 worth of shares traded, and Citizens Super 30 Mutual Fund (C30MF) posted the highest volume, with 537,550 units changing hands.
