KATHMANDU: The Agri Digi-Tech Challenge (ADTC) culminated in a Reflections and Gratitude Evening on Thursday, celebrating the successful completion of the programme. The event brought together key partners, participants and supporters whose contributions made the initiative a resounding success.
The ADTC was delivered jointly by Beed Management and Tangent Waves, with crucial support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. During the evening, Sneha Bhattarai, National Programme Officer for Digitalisation and Private Sector Engagement at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, extended her heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Bhattarai emphasised the ongoing need to leverage technology to modernise Nepal’s agricultural sector and announced that preparations for the second phase of the ADTC are already underway.
Suman Shakya, Founder of Tangent Waves, reflected on the humbling reality of entrepreneurship, noting that while businesses often believe they have all the answers, market success is never guaranteed. He explained that the acceleration programme was designed to guide participants towards finding their market fit, with a collaborative spirit aimed at supporting all ventures rather than a select few, and called for continued partnership to drive Nepal’s economic development.
Sujeev Shakya, Founder of Beed Management, also expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the successful collaboration with Tangent Waves. He highlighted the significant work that lies ahead for Nepal as it prepares to graduate from Least Developed Country status next year, underscoring the importance of collective action for the country’s economic future.
