KATHMANDU: vivo has opened pre-bookings in Nepal for its new V60 smartphone, with the window running from Friday, August 29, to September 2 and first sales beginning September 3. Customers who pre-book will receive a complimentary pair of vivo Earbuds, as the brand looks to anchor the launch with camera innovation, durable design, and long battery life.

The V60 emphasises imaging with ZEISS Optical Standards across all lenses, led by a 50 MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera designed to capture clear portraits at long distances. A 10x Telephoto Stage Portrait mode is tuned for bright spotlights, while five focal lengths spanning 23mm to 100mm give users flexibility for everything from candid 85mm ZEISS Portraits to scenic Landscape Portraits.

vivo’s AI Image Studio adds creative range with AI Four-Season Portrait, letting users instantly reimagine their surroundings in spring, summer, autumn, or winter. The comprehensive camera array includes a 50 MP ZEISS OIS Main Camera, an 8 MP Ultra Wide-Angle Camera, and a 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera. Ultra-Clear 4K video and an upgraded Aura Light Portrait system target stronger performance in low light.

On the design front, the V60 features an Equal-Depth Quad Curved Screen with slim bezels for an immersive feel, paired with a minimalist Star Trail Camera Module on the back. The phone will be available in two finishes, Mist Grey and Berry Purple, aligning a sleek profile with premium materials.

Durability is a key focus. The device is protected by Diamond Shield Glass and carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Practical safeguards include One-Tap Water Ejection and Dust Removal features to help maintain performance in challenging environments.

Powering the experience is a 6500mAh BlueVolt Battery with 90W FlashCharge, aimed at delivering all-day endurance. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset is coupled with up to 12GB RAM plus 12GB Extended RAM, targeting smooth, lag-free operation across apps and camera modes.

In Nepal, the V60 is priced at Rs 70,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Rs 75,999 for the 12GB + 512GB option. Alongside launch offers, vivo is providing a 0% EMI plan with a 40% down payment over one year. Buyers can also trade in old smartphones via vivo’s official Nayapurano exchange platform; during the launch period, eligible trade-ins will receive an additional valuation of Rs 2,000. The exchange programme is currently available through more than 100 retail partners nationwide, with further expansion planned.
