KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepal Crusher and Mining Industry Entrepreneurs (FNCMIE) is conducting province-level gatherings and interaction programmes to press its members’ concerns on licence renewals, taxation and export facilitation.
The initiative launched in Koshi Province on August 31 concluded in Madhesh Province on September 1. A meeting was held in Hetauda, Bagmati Province on September 2, and a similar programme is underway in Gandaki Province today.
FNCMIE President Sitaram Neupane said the gatherings aim to elevate entrepreneurs’ grievances to the government level and secure legal resolutions. He emphasised that, to date, their concerns have not been heard and no results have been achieved.
“Our concerns have not yet been heard, and no results have been achieved,” President Neupane said. “The Federation is continuously lobbying to resolve the entrepreneurs’ problems. The provincial association should also move forward to address the issue.”
He noted that crusher entrepreneurs have suffered from long delays in licence renewals and stated they are ready to pay the taxes and fees owed to the government. He added that he has drawn the concerned ministry’s attention to expedite the renewal process.
At the Gandaki Province programme, the FNCMIE urged the government to arrange for the export of processed construction materials abroad, arguing that such exports would bring significant economic benefits to the country.

The province-level gatherings will continue to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to press for immediate action on licensing, taxation and export facilitation.
