
KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) today announced that the capital market will remain closed for the whole of next week, extending the three-day suspension owing to the current challenging situation in the aftermath of Gen Z protests.
NEPSE issued a notice stating that secondary market trading of securities will remain suspended until September 18.
“In accordance with section 90, sub-section (1), clause (d) of the Securities Act, 2063, and with the approval received from the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) on Friday, all concerned are hereby informed that secondary market trading of securities will remain closed from September 14 to 18,” the notice states.
