
KATHMANDU: The government has formed a four‑member taskforce to identify problems in the capital market, the Ministry of Finance said.
Spokesperson Tanka Prasad Pandey said the taskforce will study anomalies and issues that have surfaced in the capital market and present recommendations and a robust implementation roadmap for systemic and procedural reforms to restore investor confidence immediately.
The taskforce will be chaired by Rupesh KC, Executive Director of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). Its members include Sharan Adhikari, Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, and Niranjan Bhattarai, Acting Executive Director of the Nepal Stock Exchange. Sharad Niraula, Under Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, will serve as member secretary.
