
KATHMANDU: Ministry of Finance (MoF) has brought the Government Integrated Office Management System (GIOMS) into use.
Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal today launched the system by approving a file using it.
The system was introduced to implement the government’s objective of making work carried out by government bodies paperless in a simple, smooth, transparent and effective manner.
Developed by the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the system has been made mandatory for use at the MoF.
The use of electronic signatures on decisions, orders, registers and issued letters, and for attendance and records management, has been made compulsory through the system.
