Gold price falls for third consecutive day to Rs 237,000 per tola

KATHMANDU: The price of gold has declined for the third consecutive day this week in the domestic market, falling to Rs 237,000 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA).

On Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 241,900 per tola (11.66 grams), down by Rs 11,600 per tola compared with the previous rate. It fell by a further Rs 2,000 per tola on Monday and again by Rs 2,900 today, bringing the price to Rs 237,000 per tola.

The price of silver dropped by Rs 60 per tola compared with Monday and is now set at Rs 2,920 per tola.

In the international market, gold is trading at $3,975 per ounce.
