KATHMANDU: CG Brand, under Nepal’s largest electronics company CG Electronics, has launched three models of AI‑enabled 4K Google TV under its premium CG Meridia Signature Series — 65” (65GTVU5), 55” (55GTVU5) and 43” (43GTVU5) — in the Nepali market.

The company said the new series aims to deliver a stadium‑like experience for sports and a theatre‑like experience for films at home, while making advanced technology available at domestic prices. According to a company representative, “CG Meridia Signature Series is the first domestic electronics brand to present AI television in Nepal and is always focused on the objective of making high‑quality, premium, and international standard products available in the Nepali market. Our new AI 4K Google TV series has been launched to provide Nepali consumers with a world‑class technological experience at a domestic price and especially keeping the NPL in mind, with the goal that consumers can get a stadium‑like experience of sports and a theatre‑like experience of watching movies comfortably in their own living room while sitting at their own home. It will not only improve the entertainment experience but also make digital interaction inside the home smart, simple, and personal.”

CG said the TVs include a suite of AI features designed to enhance picture and sound and to personalise viewing. Key functions listed by the company include AI Skin Detection, which analyses face and skin colour, texture and tone; AI Motion Clarity to reduce motion blur and ghosting; MEMC to create additional frames for smoother scenes; and an AI Dialogue Clarity Enhancer to separate speech from background noise.

Other features highlighted are a Remote Locator function that causes a lost remote to emit a beep, AI 4K Upscaling for low‑resolution content, AI learning capability to tailor the experience to viewing habits, and automatic picture‑audio calibration that adjusts brightness, contrast, sharpness and sound level.

The company provided a technical overview showing the models run on a quad‑core A55 CPU with Mali‑G52 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Visual specifications include 4K Ultra HD, HDR10/HLG and a 105% BT.709 wide colour spectrum, while audio is supported by Dolby Digital Plus and 20W/24W stereo speakers. Smart features include Google TV, Chromecast built‑in, and Google Assistant, and connectivity options include dual‑band Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI ARC, and multiple ports.

CG Electronics said the TVs are designed with a frameless, premium look and smooth-motion technology. The company, which has operated in the Nepali electronics market for more than 40 years, provides after‑sales service through 20 showrooms and 40 service centres nationwide and offers online sales via its official website.
