KATHMANDU: Global Compact Nepal (GCN) held its 10th annual general meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year 2081/82 in Lalitpur on Tuesday.
The AGM opened with remarks from GCN President Pradeep Man Vaidya, who reflected on his tenure and highlighted the organisation’s growth and progress under his leadership. New members were inducted and membership certificates were distributed during the session.
At the meeting, GCN General Secretary Yogendra Chitrakar presented the formal agenda. Likewise, Executive Director Krishna Bikram Shah delivered a detailed presentation on GCN’s activities and financial performance for the fiscal year 2081/82.
The meeting then moved to the appointment of an auditor, consideration of a constitutional amendment, and the declaration of the newly elected board.

GCN expressed gratitude to the outgoing board for their dedication and service and congratulated the newly elected board, wishing them a productive and impactful tenure. Member companies Pataleban Vineyard Winery and Yak Brewery sponsored beverages for the AGM and the networking reception.
The event drew more than 70 participants.
Global Compact Nepal is the local network of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiative, which encourages businesses to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies and to report on their implementation.
