KATHMANDU: IIMS College inaugurated IIMS 2.0 in collaboration with Taylor’s University, Malaysia, in Bhagawatibahal, Kathmandu, on Friday.
Prof Barry Winn, Vice‑Chancellor and President of Taylor’s University in Malaysia; Ng (Angie) Sok Ping, Pro Vice Chancellor of Planning and Academic Development; Prof Neethaiahnathan Ari Raghavan, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management; and Prof Chong Siong Choy, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, inaugurated the new campus building during the event.
The formal ceremony began with a traditional welcome, followed by the ribbon‑cutting and inauguration of the new facilities. Guests were given a guided tour of the campus, showcasing its modern infrastructure, learning spaces and student facilities designed to support an international standard of education.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sabindra Maharjan, CEO and Executive Chairman of IIMS Group, said, “IIMS 2.0 is not just a building; it is a promise to Nepal’s future. We are creating a global education ecosystem right here in Nepal, so our students can access world‑class education without leaving their country.”
Representing Taylor’s University, Prof Winn stated, “Today marks a powerful step forward for international education. The launch of IIMS 2.0 was marked by a ribbon‑cutting, campus tour and cultural performances. With smart classrooms, digital learning spaces, advanced labs, innovation hubs, hospitality training suites, collaboration zones, rooftop terraces and experiential spaces such as Taylor’s Café and Aranya Boutique Hotel, IIMS aims to position itself as a leading centre for international education in South Asia.
IIMS College was founded in 2010 and aims to provide quality, globally aligned undergraduate programmes supported by strong international partnerships and industry‑focused learning.
