Unique Plastic Udhyog appoints Nepal Life Capital as sales manager as it prepares to issue IPO
KATHMANDU: Unique Plastic Udhyog is preparing to issue an initial public offering (IPO) to the general public and has appointed Nepal Life Capital as the issue and sales manager.
The company plans to offer 20% of its issued capital at a face value of Rs 100 per share, issuing 750,000 units in total.
The appointment was formalised on Wednesday at a programme held at Nepal Life Capital’s office in Kamalpokhari. The agreement was signed by Unique Plastic Udhyog chairman Hari Bahadur Basnet and Nepal Life Capital CEO Manish Ghimire.
Based in the industrial area of Hetauda Sub‑Metropolitan City‑8, Makawanpur District, Unique Plastic Udhyog has been producing PE‑100 pipes for the past five years to meet Nepal’s growing infrastructure and drinking‑water needs. The company manufactures more than five types of pipes, in sizes from 16 mm to 160 mm and pressure ratings from 3 PN to 20 PN, using modern technology. Its products are recognised by Nepal Standard (NS40:2079) and are used in water supply and irrigation, hilly‑region water lines, sewage and gas lines, telecommunications, electricity and other underground structures.
The company said its objective is to supply high‑quality, sustainable and safe products to the Nepali market and to support national infrastructure development by producing reliable pipes domestically. It also plans to expand with a new branch on its own land in Chandrauta, Kapilvastu District, to manufacture other plastic‑related materials.
Nepal Life Capital, a subsidiary of Nepal Life Insurance Company, is a merchant banking institution licenced by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). It provides services including investment management, securities underwriting, depositary participant services, fund management, depository services, corporate advisory, share registration and issue and sales management.
