KATHMANDU: IME, Nepal’s leading remittance service provider, has launched a promotional campaign called 'IME Garaun, Upahar Jitaun' through the Tiqmo app. The scheme offers Nepalis in Saudi Arabia the chance to win a range of prizes when they send money to Nepal via IME.

The campaign is running from January 5 to March 31. Under the scheme, one mega‑prize winner will receive a BYD Atto 1 EV, two monthly winners will each receive a Yadea Owin EV scooter, and 12 weekly winners will receive an iPhone 17. A total of 15 winners will be selected through a transparent digital lucky draw.

IME said the promotion aims to encourage secure digital remittances from Nepalis working in Saudi Arabia and to further integrate digital technology into cross‑border payments. The company added that the campaign provides an opportunity for migrant workers to bring foreign currency, technology, and skills into Nepal, while also offering a chance to win prizes.

IME, now in its 22nd year of service, said it remains committed to making remittance services accessible to every Nepali. The company distributes funds through about 12,000 sub‑agents and branches of banks and financial institutions across 77 districts, and operates 225 IME centres covering urban and rural areas.

Tiqmo is a digital wallet app widely used in Saudi Arabia for international money transfers, digital payment cards and bill payments, and is the platform through which the promotion is being run.
