KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has had 107 candidates elected to the House of Representatives, and as of 11:15 am today, its candidates are leading in a further 18 constituencies.
The Election Commission, Nepal said results from 136 constituencies made public so far show the Nepali Congress has won 15 constituencies and is leading in two, while the CPN (UML) has won seven constituencies and is leading in three.
Four candidates from the Nepali Communist Party have won so far and are leading in three constituencies. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), the Shram Sanskriti Party and independent candidates have won one constituency each; two candidates from the Shram Sanskriti Party are currently leading in the vote count.
In the proportional representation (PR) system for the election held on March 5, the RSP has so far received 1,461,381 votes, the Nepali Congress 494,251 votes, the CPN (UML) 403,899 votes, and the Nepali Communist Party 193,550 votes.
