Inquiry commission submits report to PM Karki, recommends legal action

KATHMANDU: The investigation commission into the events of September 8 and 9 last year has presented a 1,000-page report to Prime Minister Sushila Karki. It recommends legal action against those found guilty.

The report was prepared following the questioning of approximately 200 individuals and consultations with experts, commission member Bigyan Raj Sharma said upon submitting the document to Prime Minister Karki.

The commission was formed under the coordination of former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki and included former Additional Inspector General of Nepal Police Sharma and legal expert Bishweshwar Prasad Bhandari as members.
