Good governance, job creation are top priorities: RSP leader Khanal
KATHMANDU: Shishir Khanal, leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and newly elected member of the House of Representatives for Kathmandu Constituency No. 6, has said that good governance, job creation and an enterprising Nepal are priorities for his party.
Speaking at a programme organised today by Tarakeshwar Municipality‑9 in Kathmandu district, he said he would work with local authorities to solve people’s problems, noting that the RSP does not hold power at the local level.
The former Minister for Education, Science and Technology added that Kathmandu Constituency No. 6 faces a drinking-water problem and that he would seek to resolve it by holding discussions and maintaining close contact with residents.
Khanal underlined that he would continuously raise issues of public concern in Parliament. He said people have trusted the RSP to transform the country for five years and clarified that they would not let this mandate go to waste.
