KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 15 5G in Nepal, bringing its latest mid‑range smartphone to the local market. The device is available across the country in two configurations: 8GB + 256GB priced at Rs 39,999 and 12GB + 512GB priced at Rs 46,999.
The phone is marketed for its slim design, long battery life, high performance and advanced camera capabilities. It is offered in three colours — Black, Glacier Blue and Mist Purple — with the company noting Mist Purple as the most preferred among users. Xiaomi says the Note 15 5G is the slimmest model in the Redmi series to date, combining a thin, lightweight body with a focus on visual appeal and comfort.
Powering the handset is a 5520mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 1.5 days of use on a single charge. The device supports 45W turbo charging and includes a smart charging engine intended to extend battery lifespan. Xiaomi also states the phone can provide up to 21 hours of video playback or 10 hours of video recording per charge.
The Redmi Note 15 5G features a 6.77‑inch OLED display with peak brightness of 3200 nits and 3840Hz PWM dimming for improved visibility and eye comfort in bright conditions. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset built on a 4nm process and supports up to 24GB of RAM, positioning it for smooth multitasking and responsive performance.
Photography is a highlight, with a 180MP main camera, an 8MP ultra‑wide lens and a 20MP front camera. The phone includes built‑in image stabilisation and AI imaging features, while entertainment is enhanced by dual speakers, AI Portrait and Dynamic Shots 2.0.
For security and durability, the device offers in‑screen fingerprint recognition and AI face unlock, and is certified for drop and water resistance. Wet Touch Technology 2.0 is included to maintain touchscreen responsiveness when the screen is wet.
