Pakistan's PM Sharif congratulates RSP President Lamichhane, senior leader Shah

KATHMANDU: Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has congratulated Rabi Lamichhane, president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and senior party leader Balendra Shah on their victory in Nepal’s 2026 elections, the Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu said.

In a congratulatory message, Sharif said the strong mandate reflects the trust and confidence of the Nepali people in new and dynamic leadership.

He also expressed Pakistan’s willingness to work closely with the newly elected government of Nepal to further strengthen the historic friendship and cooperation between the two countries, the embassy added.
