Tranquility Spa opens new premium wellness outlet at Royal Tulip Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Tranquility Spa has opened a new premium wellness outlet at the Royal Tulip Kathmandu, Gwarko. The move expands its footprint in the Kathmandu Valley amid growing demand for holistic wellness services.

The facility is designed to offer an immersive wellness experience with modern infrastructure, trained therapists and services aligned with international standards. It features thermal hydrotherapy, traditional and therapeutic massage treatments, premium salon services, as well as swimming and fitness facilities.

The expansion responds to rising customer demand in the Lalitpur area for a fully equipped wellness and health club, the company said. With the addition at Royal Tulip Kathmandu, Tranquility Spa said it aims to make high-quality wellness services more accessible while maintaining its commitment to excellence.

Ranil Phaiju, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tranquility Spa, said the new outlet is expected to “significantly enhance access to premium wellness services in the capital.” He added that as urban lifestyles become increasingly demanding, “the need for maintaining both physical and mental well-being has become more important than ever.”

Chairman Bhuwan Phaiju said expanding high-quality spa services across key tourism and hospitality sectors remains a core part of the company’s long-term vision and that such initiatives are expected to contribute meaningfully to the growth of wellness tourism in Nepal.

Founded more than two decades ago, Tranquility Spa currently operates more than 18 outlets across Nepal, primarily in leading hotels and tourist destinations. The company employs around 250 people nationwide and has extended its operations internationally, including in Malaysia.

Tranquility Spa’s presence includes outlets at The Soaltee Kathmandu, Radisson Hotel, Ramada by Wyndham, Hotel Shanker, Chandragiri Hills Resort, Royal Tulip Chitwan, Fishtail Lodge by Annapurna and Siddhartha Vilasa, among others. The company said guests at Royal Tulip Kathmandu can now enjoy a combined offering of premium hospitality and comprehensive wellness services under one roof.
