KATHMANDU: Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board has determined the maximum wholesale prices of agricultural products for today.
According to the Board, large tomato (Indian) is Rs 90 per kg, small tomato (local) is Rs 70 per kg, small tomato (Indian) is Rs 60 per kg, and small tomato (Tarai) is Rs 55 per kg. Red potato is Rs 28 per kg, red potato (Indian) is Rs 24 per kg, and dry onion (Indian) is Rs 40 per kg.
Local carrot is Rs 60 per kg, local cabbage is Rs 35 per kg, and local cauliflower is Rs 60 per kg, while white radish (hybrid) is Rs 25 per kg. Long brinjal is Rs 60 per kg and round brinjal is fixed at Rs 70 per kg.
Yard-long beans are Rs 120 per kg, green pea pods are Rs 50 per kg, cowpeas (makaibodi) are Rs 90 per kg, local green beans are Rs 110 per kg and hybrid green beans are Rs 90 per kg. Kidney beans (rajma) are Rs 100 per kg and soybean pods are Rs 160 per kg.
Bitter gourd is Rs 50 per kg, bottle gourd is Rs 60 per kg, local pointed gourd is Rs 80 per kg and Tarai pointed gourd is Rs 70 per kg. Snake gourd is Rs 50 per kg, ridge gourd (jhiguni) is Rs 80 per kg, sponge gourd is Rs 65 per kg, ripe pumpkin is Rs 60 per kg, green long pumpkin is Rs 50 per kg and green round pumpkin is Rs 50 per kg. Sweet potato is Rs 75 per kg, okra is Rs 70 per kg, taro (pindalu) is Rs 50 per kg and chayote (skush) has been maintained at Rs 55 per kg.
Mustard greens are Rs 100 per kg, spinach is Rs 100 per kg, mustard leaf (tori) is Rs 35 per kg, garden cress (chamsur) is Rs 100 per kg and fenugreek greens are Rs 100 per kg. Green onions are Rs 190 per kg. Oyster mushroom is Rs 260 per kg, button mushroom is Rs 530 per kg, king oyster mushroom is Rs 320 per kg and shiitake mushroom is priced at Rs 1,000 per kg.
Asparagus is Rs 450 per kg, fiddlehead fern (niguro) is Rs 100 per kg, broccoli is Rs 120 per kg and beetroot is Rs 65 per kg. Drumstick (sajivan) is Rs 120 per kg and bauhinia blossoms (koiralo) are Rs 350 per kg. Red cabbage is Rs 60 per kg and Swiss chard (jiriko saag) is Rs 100 per kg. Parsley is Rs 300 per kg, celery is Rs 120 per kg, fennel greens are Rs 100 per kg, mint is Rs 110 per kg and kohlrabi is Rs 50 per kg. Tamarind is Rs 180 per kg, bamboo shoots (tama) are Rs 150 per kg, tofu is Rs 150 per kg and gundruk (fermented greens) is fixed at Rs 300 per kg.
Apple (jhole) is Rs 250 per kg and Fuji apple is Rs 300 per kg. Banana is Rs 220 per dozen. Lemon is Rs 400 per kg, pomegranate is Rs 500 per kg, green grapes are Rs 300 per kg and black grapes are Rs 450 per kg. Green watermelon is Rs 45 per kg and pineapple is Rs 250 per piece. Local cucumber is Rs 75 per kg, hybrid cucumber is Rs 50 per kg and local-cross cucumber is Rs 80 per kg. Chinese pear is Rs 250 per kg, Nepali papaya is Rs 80 per kg, Indian papaya is Rs 90 per kg and avocado is priced at Rs 800 per kg.
Additionally, ginger is Rs 120 per kg, dry chilli is Rs 450 per kg, green chilli is Rs 100 per kg and green chilli (bullet) is Rs 85 per kg. Fish chilli is Rs 70 per kg and Akabare green chilli is Rs 600 per kg; capsicum is Rs 80 per kg. Green garlic is Rs 200 per kg, green coriander is Rs 60 per kg, Chinese dry garlic is Rs 190 per kg, Nepali dry garlic is Rs 120 per kg and dry chhyapi (allium) is Rs 160 per kg. Fresh fish (rahu) is Rs 340 per kg, fresh fish (bachhuwa) is Rs 310 per kg and fresh fish (chhadi) is priced at Rs 300 per kg.
