KATHMANDU: The third meeting of the Mechanism for Facilitation on the Implementation of Nepal‑China Cooperation Programmes and Projects in Nepal concluded in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming co‑chaired the session and led their respective delegations. The meeting reviewed the status of ongoing economic and development cooperation programmes and projects between the two countries.

The Ministry said participants agreed on specific measures to accelerate the timely and effective implementation of programmes and projects that require immediate attention.

The Mechanism was established under a bilateral memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on June 21, 2018 and provides a platform to regularly review progress, identify challenges and take priority actions to address them.
