KATHMANDU: Nabil Bank has launched a real-time peer-to-peer remittance service between Nepal and India that enables instant transfers through its nBank mobile application.

Indian account holders at Nabil Bank can send funds instantly to recipients in India via the nBank app. In the reverse direction, both Nepali and Indian citizens can transfer money instantly to beneficiaries who hold accounts at Nabil Bank in Nepal.

Nabil Bank has set transaction limits for the new service. For transfers from Nepal to India, customers may send up to INR 15,000 a day and up to INR 100,000 a month. For transfers from India to Nepal, the daily limit is INR 200,000 and there are no monthly restrictions.

The bank said the feature is available through the nBank app and is intended to simplify person-to-person cross-border transfers between the two countries. The announcement on the bank’s website outlines eligibility and the applicable limits for senders and recipients.
