KATHMANDU: Litmus Industries recently received the 'Largest Exporter in India Category' Award at the 23rd annual general meeting (AGM) of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI). The award recognised the company as the top exporter to India among CNI members.
The award highlights Litmus as Nepal’s largest manufacturer of wires, cables and conductors and the country’s only producer of aluminium and alloy rods. Company officials said the honour reflects sustained investment in manufacturing capacity, technology and quality standards that have expanded Nepal’s export reach and supported economic growth.
Litmus supplies critical infrastructure products across Nepal and has built a strong export portfolio in regional markets, especially India. The company said its operations have created significant direct and indirect jobs. They have reduced reliance on imports by producing items previously sourced from abroad and have spurred growth in related industries across the supply chain.
“This recognition from CNI is a reflection of the dedication of every individual at Litmus Industries who has worked tirelessly to uphold our commitment to quality and innovation. We are deeply grateful for this honour. As Nepal’s leading wire, cable and conductor manufacturer — and the sole producer of aluminium and alloy rods in the country — we carry a responsibility not just to our customers, but to Nepal’s industrial future. We will continue to expand our exports, deepen our global presence, and play our role in supporting Nepal’s economic and industrial development. This award inspires us to reach further,” said Prakash Kafle, Chief Operating Officer at Litmus Industries.
The award underlines Litmus’s role in Nepal’s manufacturing sector and its contribution to the country’s trade and industrial development. Litmus officials said they will keep prioritising quality, innovation and workforce development as they seek to grow their regional and global market presence.
