KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal left for Beijing today on a four-day official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Minister Khanal will hold bilateral talks with his counterpart, Wang, on strengthening Nepal-China relations and mutual cooperation, and will meet several senior Chinese officials.
He is also due to take part in an investment conference organised by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing aimed at attracting foreign investment to Nepal. The embassy will host a reception in his honour, at which he will meet members of the Nepali community.
Khanal is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 17.
