At the event, Dr Deepa Prakash, managing director of Kadamba Intrac, India, presented the company’s Nanocare range and outlined how the products combine natural ingredients with nanotechnology for applications in beauty care, medicines, cancer treatment, well‑being and herbal products. She said the products produce zero CO₂ emissions and follow natural processes rather than artificial methods, which she said sets them apart from conventional nanotechnology practices.
Speaking about opportunities for Nepal, Dr Prakash expressed confidence in the country’s potential to become a regional hub for nanotechnology, citing its rich natural resources, abundance of herbal materials and distinctive cultural lifestyle. She said she looks forward to working with Nepali entrepreneurs to introduce and expand the technology in Nepal.
Dr Pushparaj Poudel, senior consultant at Naradevi Hospital, urged local entrepreneurs to make fuller use of the country’s resources and voiced strong support for adopting the new technology in Nepal. He noted that the Government of Nepal has been increasing its focus on the well‑being sector and is developing supportive policies to encourage such initiatives.
Meanwhile, CNI Tourism Committee member Tilak Lama called the technology impressive and expressed optimism about its prospects. CNI Tourism Committee chair Pamfa Dhamala signalled strong interest in collaboration and urged stakeholders to come forward to support and promote the technology.
In closing, the event opened avenues for future coordination and cooperation. The director of NIICE presented a token of appreciation to the keynote speaker, and Chair Dhamala formally closed the meeting, thanking participants for their contributions.
